Lucas Burnley of Bend, Oregon, designed the Squid, which is a small and powerful folding knife. Based on the idea of a compact pistol, it features a 2.37 inch blade that’s designed to take on most cutting tasks.
By utilizing a drop-point design, Burnley was able to achieve a good balance of point geometry and tip strength for his utility knife. He was also able to create a compact and easy-to-carry design that packs all the features of a tactical folder inside it.
The Squid is built with an Assisted Opening feature, which allows users to quickly and easily open their blade. This innovative design features a quick release mechanism that snaps the blade open at a high speed. Its frame lock and ball bearing pivot system ensure that the knife stays in place.

Securely closed inside your pocket, the Squid deploys when activated. The blade then swings open with a powerful and effortless movement through the rotation.
