The Spyderco Para 3 is a highly anticipated addition to the company’s popular Paramilitary line of folding knives. The brand’s history with the knife dates back to the very first model, which was released in 2004.

The goal of the Paramilitary was was to provide the same cutting performance and reliability that the Military could offer, but in a more compact and easy-to-carry design. Instead, it was referred to as the “Paramilitary 3.” This is because its name suggests that it is a third-generation model of the Paramilitary line, while its actual length is three-inch. While its pedigree is clear, the Para 3’s name and model number have their own identity as a product of Spyderco.

Although the Para 3 is a smaller version of the Paramilitary 2, it still retains all of the features that made the original model so popular.
